Getting started with a 3 SIM
From Entuura
Go to http://my3.three.co.uk/, use "New User".
Type in SIM's phone number. Type in last 6 digits of the SIM, which is on the big plastic card, called ICCID.
That sends a password to the SIM as SMS.
Do this to get the password:
# gnokii --smsreader GNOKII Version 0.6.21 Couldn't read /root/.gnokiirc config file. Couldn't read /root/.gnokiirc config file. Entered sms reader mode... SMS received from number: My 3 Got message 0: Thank you for registering to My 3, your web password is: XXX - you can change this when you first login at three.co.uk/my3 ... Ctrl-C
Now you have the password. Login to the website and put in a top-up card. Buy some Internet, either a day, a week, or a month.
Our "standard" for the password on an account associated with a box is this:
openssl md5 < /etc/config/host.key | cut -c 1-8
(Thus, to know the password for a box, you'd have to have access to the box's secret key, but having the password does not give you the secret key.)
Tape the big card (minus the SIM, which is inside the box) onto the bottom of the Entuura box so that the phone number and the SIM ID will not get lost.
